How subscribers actually use ProPlace during a tournament week
Almost all of the work happens before the tournament starts. Here is the day-by-day walkthrough of a tournament week, including the parts that might make you decide no.

The short version: ProPlace is a research tool you open early in the week and check on Sunday. Almost all of the work happens before the tournament starts. By the time the first tee shot is struck, the selections are published, timestamped and locked, and the rest of the week is watching them settle in public.

Monday and Tuesday: the field arrives
The tournament field lands and the model goes to work on it. Every player in the field is assessed on the same components: strokes gained off the tee, approach, around the green and putting, how those numbers have moved over recent starts, and how the demands of this specific course line up against them.
Nothing is published yet. This is the stage where you can look at the field yourself on the tournaments page and form your own view before ours arrives. Subscribers who get the most out of the product tend to do this. It is much easier to judge whether a selection is any good if you already had an opinion.
Wednesday: selections publish before a ball is struck
This is the part that matters most, and it is the part we are strictest about. Selections publish with a timestamp before the first tee shot. They are not edited afterwards. Each one carries a conviction score so you can see how strongly the model rates it rather than treating four names as four equal ideas. The full method is set out in how we pick.
Publishing before play is not a nice touch. It is the only thing that makes the record meaningful. Anything published after Thursday morning is a commentary, not a prediction.
Thursday to Sunday: watching it play out
The live tracker follows the selections through the tournament, and a round recap email lands after each day's play. You do not have to do anything during this stretch. There is no in-play advice, no updated calls, no messages telling you to top up. The research was done on Wednesday and it either holds up or it does not.
Sunday night: settlement in public
Every selection is settled and published to the results page whether it won, placed or missed entirely. Losing weeks go up in exactly the same format as winning ones. This is the part most products in this space quietly skip, and it is the reason we go on about it.
What ProPlace does not do
It does not tell you what to stake. It is a statistical research product, not a tipster service and not a bookmaker. There is no account to fund, no odds feed to bet into, and no staking plan. Our fuller list of what you get and what you do not covers the boundaries in more detail.
It does not turn a bad week into a good one. Some weeks nothing places at all, and those weeks are published in full alongside the good ones.
It does not help your own golf. If you want to hit it further or putt better, the blog might help you. The subscription will not.
Who this suits, and who it does not
It suits you if you already follow tournament golf closely, you like seeing the reasoning rather than just the names, and you want a record you can audit rather than a claim you have to trust.
It does not suit you if you want certainty, if you want someone to make the decisions for you, or if you are looking for a shortcut. There is not one here.
How to decide inside one week
Take a single tournament week and ask three questions at the end of it. Did the reasoning published on Wednesday tell you something you did not already know? When you disagreed with a selection, did the disagreement sharpen your own view? And on Sunday, did the settled result match what was published on Wednesday, exactly, with nothing quietly dropped?
