The free card: one full ProPlace analysis, every Monday
Every Monday ProPlace publishes one complete player analysis card from that week's field, free and in full. Here is exactly what is on it, how to get it, and what it does not tell you.
By Doug Dinwiddie. Founder of ProPlace. Former DP World Tour caddie.
Every Monday, once the field settles, ProPlace publishes one complete player analysis card from that week's tournament and gives it away in full at /free-card. Not a teaser, not the top line with the detail blurred out. The same card a subscriber sees, for one player, free.
What is actually on the card
There are four things on it, and they are the same four things every week.
- The player, and the event they are playing that week.
- The conviction score, scored out of 15, which is the model's summary of how strongly the case for that player holds together.
- The model's top-finish probability, expressed as a percentage.
- The makeup: a set of factor bars showing which parts of the analysis are carrying the score and which parts are dragging on it.
The point of the makeup is that you can disagree with it. A score with no visible components is something you either swallow or ignore. A score with its components on show is something you can argue with, and arguing with it is the intended use.
Which player gets picked
The model surfaces the name it finds most interesting away from the obvious end of the list, and that is deliberate. The favourite is the least useful player to write about, because the market has already done that work in public and done it loudly. The interesting reading sits further down the field, where a case is made of parts rather than of reputation, and where the components of a conviction score actually have something to say.
What it is not
It is not a tip. ProPlace is a statistical-analysis and research product and does not accept stakes. There is no stake size on the card, no instruction, and no claim about what is going to happen.
A conviction score describes how the model reads the data. Reading the data well and the week turning out well are two different things, and we publish the weeks when they come apart. The public results archive holds every card, and the review pieces write the bad ones up in full, including two losing weeks at St. Jude and the Danish Championship.

How to get it
Go to /free-card. The current week's card is sitting on the page with no email required at all. If you would rather it arrived on its own, put in an email address, click the link in the confirmation email, and one card lands each Monday. No account, no card details, unsubscribe any time, and the address is used for nothing else. There is also a 1080x1080 render of the card if you want to save it.
Where the free card stops
One card a week is one player out of a full field. It will not tell you how the model reads the rest of that field, it will not show you the week's full ranked list, and it does not include the live tracker that follows selections through the rounds.
That is what the trial is for: seven days, no card details, covering two full tournaments. After that it is £20 a month or £200 a year. The pricing page write-up sets out both plans, and what the free trial includes covers the rest.
The free card exists because the argument for a research product is best made by handing over the research and letting someone judge it, rather than by describing it at length and asking them to take the description on trust.

Frequently asked questions
- Is the ProPlace free card really free?
- Yes. This week's card is on the /free-card page with no email required. If you want it delivered each Monday you give an email address and confirm it, and that is the whole cost. No account, no card details, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- What is on the free card?
- The player and the event, a conviction score out of 15, the model's top-finish probability as a percentage, and the factor makeup showing which parts of the analysis are carrying the score.
- Is the free card a betting tip?
- No. ProPlace is a statistical-analysis and research product and does not accept stakes. The card carries no stake size and no instruction, and a conviction score describes how the model reads the data rather than an expectation of any outcome.
- How often does the free card change?
- It refreshes every Monday, once that week's field settles.
